PAWTUCKET - Mary Walsh, 90 of 175 Broad Street, Pawtucket died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Evergreen Nursing Home after a courageous and dignified battle with lung cancer. She was the wife of the late Raymond H. Walsh who preceded her in death the previous year on the same date. They had been married 68 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Cassidy) and Edward Purcell.
Before retiring, she was employed by Glencairn Manufacturing. Mary was also a member of the Kennedy Housing Tenants Association.
She is survived by 3 daughters; Christine Benoit and Colleen Murphy both of East Providence and Phyllis St. Louis of Brighton, Michigan. She also leaves a son, Bryan Walsh of La Mesa, California.
She was also the loving mother of Beverly Ann Walsh who died as an infant and the late Janice Venditto of Las Vegas, Nevada.
