Mary T. Koussa
CUMBERLAND - Mary T. (Kahla) Koussa, 90, of Cumberland and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011. She was the wife of the late Michael Koussa Sr. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Moses and Jennie (Zammat) Kahla.
A lifelong member of Saint Basil The Great Church, Mary was a choir director and member since 1937, she was a member of the altar sodality, the Ladies Auxiliary Aleppian Aid Society, a Friendly Visitor, member of the Prayer Line, the Senior Citizens, and volunteered for many years with the church bingo. She is survived by two daughters, Marlene Koussa of Cumberland and Michele Domaney and her husband Abraham of Norwood, MA; two sons, Michael Koussa Jr. of Cumberland and Mark Koussa and his wife Anita of Rehoboth, MA; a brother George Kahla and a sister, Rose Kahla. She also leaves six grandchildren, Nicholas, Melissa, and Kristina Domaney; Mark Jr., and Michael Koussa; and Tamara Pommenville. She was the mother of the late Marylyn Pommenville and the sister of the late Charles Kahla.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 10am in Saint Basil The Great Church, Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Burial will be in Saint Basil's Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8pm in Saint Basil The Great Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Basil Building Fund, would be appreciated.
