PAWTUCKET- Mary Kania 95, formerly of Capital Street passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Grandview Center in Cumberland. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Kania.
Born in Suffield, Ct she was a daughter of the late Albert and Bertha (Godek) Wolowicz. She lived in Pawtucket for 60 years and was formerly of Central Falls.
Before retiring Mrs. Kania was employed as a Winder at the former Sidney Blumenthal Textile Co. for many years and later worked for Owens-Corning Fiberglass and Fram Corp. as an Assembler.
She leaves 2 loving daughters Josephine M. "JOAN" Fickle of Lincoln and Dolores N. Thomas of Lemon Grove CA, 1 sister Adele DAgostino of Florida along with 5 devoted grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Stasia Vuelta, Angela Kleyn, Cecelia Sroka, Joseph, John, Francis, Walter, Anthony and Stanley Wolowicz.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass Of Christian Burial Monday, March 19, 2012 in Holy Cross Church 320 High Street Central Falls at 10:00 a.m.
