Mary H. (Gavitt) McDuff
PAWTUCKET - Mary H. "Polly" (Gavitt) McDuff, of Pawtucket died Friday, June 3, 2011. She was the wife of Joseph G. McDuff. They had been married 56 years.
Mrs. McDuff was born in Westerly, the daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (Hickson) Gavitt. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Nursing and was a Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket.
Besides her husband Mrs. McDuff is survived by her children, Gerald J. McDuff and his wife Charlene of Pawtucket and Patricia McDuff Peloquin and her husband Ernest of Coventry. She also leaves her sister Ellen Clark, her grandchildren, Timothy McDuff, Kailyn McDuff, John Peloquin, and Joseph Peloquin and her great granddaughter Ava McDuff. She was the mother of the late Linda McDuff.
The funeral for Mrs. McDuff will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresas Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 a.m. The burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
