Marshall Wayne Garland
Marshall Wayne Garland, 81, formerly of 120 Hatfield Street, Pawtucket, died in Mayfield, Kentucky on November 14, 2012.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Mayfield; son Michael and daughter-in-law Beth Garland of Auburn, Massachusetts; granddaughter Sarah Garland of Marlborough, Massachusetts; grandson Andrew Garland of Auburn, Massachusetts; stepdaughter Roxie Webb of Paducah, KY; stepson Tyrone Wilkey of Mayfield, KY; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Georgianna (Issa) in 1985.
Marshall was born in Tennessee in 1931 in an area now known as the Land Between the Lakes National Recreational Area. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked for many years at the Cadillac and Pontiac textile mills in Cumberland, Rhode Island before his retirement in 1987.
A memorial service was held at the Oaks Church of God in Paducah, Kentucky on November 17th. In accordance with his wishes, his remains were cremated and ashes scattered at the Neville Creek Cemetery located at the Land Between the Lakes.
