Maria N. Linhares
PAWTUCKET - Maria N. Linhares (Vieira) 71, of Pawtucket, died November 14, 2012 at home. She was the wife of Francisco Linhares. They were married for forty six years. She was born in Terceira, Azores. Daughter of the late Jose and Maria (Goncalves) Vieira. She came to this country thirty two years ago settling in Pawtucket. She was employed by Colonial Mills as a seamstress until her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters Noemia Lourenco and her husband Elio Lourenco of North Providence and Leonilde Pereira and her husband Carlos Pereira of North Providence. One brother Jose Joao Vieira of Pawtucket, four grandchildren Brian, Steve, Stephanie and Kevin. Sister of the late Jose Nicolau Vieira.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 8am from the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home, 530 Smithfield Ave, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Anthony's Church, Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Calling hours are Friday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary Cemetery.
