CENTRAL FALLS - Maria F. (Teixeira) Calisto, 76, of Washington St. passed away Monday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Jose Calisto.
Born in Madeira, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Alvaro and Clara Teixeira. She resided in Central Falls for the past 8 years previously living in Pawtucket.
She was employed at various area textile mills for many years until her retirement.
She was a communicant of Our lady of Fatima sChurch, Cumberland.
Mrs. Calisto leaves a daughter, Ana Agonia and her husband Francisco. She also leaves three siblings, Joao and Teresa Teixeira both of Venezuela and Alvaro Teixeira of Spain. Mrs. Calisto also leaves two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Elizabeth Agonia both of Lincoln and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Aidan Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rte. 122, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904. Directions/guestbook:
