Maria C. Furtado
LINCOLN - Maria C. Furtado, 88 of Lincoln died Sunday at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of the late Antonio F. Furtado. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Medeiros) deSousa. Maria came to the US in 1973 and settled in Pawtucket. She has been a Lincoln resident since 1995. Prior to her retirement in 1986, she worked as a set up binder at M.F. Case Company in Pawtucket for 13 years.
Maria is survived by two daughters, Alda Sousa of Lincoln and Fatima Vieira of Pawtucket; a brother, Jose deSousa of Sao Miguel, Azores; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Maria was the sister of the late Maria Cunha and Maria Irene deSousa.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, 9:00 A.M. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME 643 Main Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 A.M. Her life will be celebrated with calling hours on Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment in Swan Point Cemetery.
