PAWTUCKET - Margarida Alexandre, age 95, of Dora St., a winder at the former Crown Spring Mill, died Tuesday afternoon at the Evergreen House in East Providence.
Born Aug. 31, 1915 in Moimenta daSerra, Gouveia,Lisbon, she was the last surviving child of the late Luciano Alexandre and Felicidade daCosta (Martins) Alexandre. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
She was the sister of the late Delfina Fernandes, Maria Cardosa, Conceicao Melo and Felicidade, Albina, Jose, Francisco, and Luciano Alexandre; and the aunt of Margarida DaSilva of Brazil, Felicidade Ramos of Conn., Aida Catlow of Wrentham, MA, Oltilia Costa and Dolores Alexandre, both of Calif., Lucian Alexandre of Pawtucket, Luiz Alexandre of Alabama and of the late Casmiro Alexandre, Joaquim Alexandre, and John Fernandes.
Her funeral will begin Monday at 10am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Anthony's Church, Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Visitation will be Monday morning, 9am to 10am. www.rebellofuneralhome.com
