PAWTUCKET - Margaret DiSanto, 100 of Pawtucket entered eternal life on Wednesday at the Evergreen Nursing Home in East Providence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Victor DiSanto. Born in East Providence, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Antonetta (Guglielmo) DeMeo. Margaret was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will forever remain the hearts of those who knew her. Having just celebrated her 100th birthday in September, Margaret's life is one to be celebrated.
Prior to retiring at the age of 85, Margaret worked at Darlene Jewelry in Pawtucket with her twin sister Mary and prior to that she worked at Lang Jewelry of Cranston for 37 years.
Margaret is survived by her son, Robert Disanto and his wife Joan of Warwick; her daughter Marguerite Lachapelle and her husband Robert of Seekonk; her identical twin sister Maria Mary Spaziano of West Palm Beach Florida; three grand children and 5 great grandchildren. Margaret also leaves behind many wonderful caregivers at the Evergreen Nursing Home and Beacon Hospice that provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life. There is a special place in her family's heart for them all.
Margaret is the sister of the late Anthony DeMeo, Louie DeMeo, Rose Ruggiero, Ida Conti and Louise Florio.
Her funeral will be held Monday, 9:00 a.m. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME, 643 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. Her life will be celebrated with calling hours on Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery, Smithfield Avenue, Pawtucket.
