Madeline A. Ramos
SEEKONK - Madeline Alice Ramos, 79, of Seekonk, MA, passed away Tuesday, October 04, 2011. She was the wife of Fernando Ramos.
Born in Pawtucket, RI, Maddy was the daughter of the late Garabed and Hermine (Jamgochian)Majalian. Mrs. Ramos graduated from The Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1954 and was a Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital for forty seven years before retiring in 2001. Madeline was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church Seniors in Seekonk, loved her pets and enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods with friends and family. Maddy was proud of her Armenian heritage and enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Arlene Dube and her husband Robert of Cumberland, RI and Carol Ann Neider and her husband Joel of Rehoboth, MA; two sons, Allen Ramos of Pawtucket, RI, and Carl Ramos and his fiancĂ©e Rebecca Ravelo of Hollywood, FL; a brother, Berj "Ben" Majalian, and three grandchildren, Bryan Dube, Kathryn Ramos, and Charlotte Neider. Madeline was the sister of the late Paul Magelian.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, followed by a service at 10am in the The First Baptist Church, 91 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be Thursday, 5-8pm.
