Lorraine R. Lonardo

LINCOLN - Lorraine R. (Dillon) Lonardo of Lincoln, RI drifted away peacefully surrounded by her family, off to be with her Loving Eternal Heavenly Father. She was born to John (Jack) Dillon and Catherine (Bishop) Dillon from Providence, RI. She was a woman of faith who loved and cared for her family and others. Lorraine had an honorable career working in the New England Telephone Company for many years and was a member of the Pioneers. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister. Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her family, had a wonderful sense of humor and loved serving others.
She is survived by her husband Louis R. Lonardo of which they were married for over 50 years. She leaves her daughters Cheryl A. Lonardo and partner Jennifer Macaluso of Cumberland, Judy Randall and her husband Paul of Lincoln, Lori Saudade and her husband David of Seekonk MA, and Lynda Gorniewicz and her husband John of Virginia Beach VA. She also leaves her sister Carol Francisco and her husband Elidio of Cumberland, Catherine Johnston of Cranston, and brother Robert Dillon and wife Mary of Providence RI. She leaves five grandsons, four granddaughters, and three great grandsons of whom she loved dearly and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Lois M. Audette, and sister of the late Claire Smith, Virginia McMahon, Mary Dunne, Patricia, John, Raymond and Alan Dillon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at10 am in St. Jude Church in Lincoln. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home331 Smith St., Providence. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in her memory may be made to; Odyssey Hospice Care 2374 Post Rd, Warwick RI 02886.
