Lorraine E. Mulligan
CUMBERLAND - Lorraine E. Mulligan, 89, formerly of Central Falls, died peacefully at the Grandview Center, Cumberland on Friday, October 5, 2012.
She was born in Attleboro, MA, the daughter of the late Paul and Leah (Gingras) Lee and lived most of her life in the Blackstone Valley area. Mrs. Mulligan was employed as a nursing assistant in many local facilities and in private homes. She was an active member of the former Notre Dame Church where she sang in the choir and served as a Eucharistic Minister and lay reader.
She leaves her children Thomas D. Mulligan, Jr. of New York, Neil J. Mulligan of N. Chelmsford, MA and Mary Ann Simmons of Bellingham, MA, two brothers, Gerard Lee and William Lee of N. Attleborough, MA, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late James Mulligan and sister of the late Beatrice Trepanier, Agnes Clemens, Mary Jane McCaloon, Lucile King, Stella Spooner, and Wilfrid Lee.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. from the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mathew's Church Holy Spirit Parish, 1030 Dexter Street, Central Falls. Burial will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery, 683 So. Main Street, Attleboro, MA. Calling hours in the funeral home Wednesday, October 10th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
