PAWTUCKET Leo L. Dery, 83, a retired carpenter, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010. He was the beloved husband of the late Vivian C. (Bilodeau) Dery. Born in Northampton, MA, a son of the late Hubert A. and Marie (Beaudoin) Dery, he resided in Pawtucket most of his life. Leo served with the Seabees in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a longtime member and former deacon at the Darlington Congregational Church. Leo was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He leaves a son, Ronald L. Dery and his wife Kathleen of Danielson, CT; two daughters, Patricia A. Ellsworth and Bernice C. Hemond and her husband William all of Pawtucket; two sisters, Theresa Faford of Pawtucket and Sister Rose de St. Pierre of Queens, NY; three brothers, Nick Dery of PA, Gerard Dery of CA and Robert Dery of Warwick; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Paul L., John L. and Mark Dery and the brother of the late Roland, George, Paul, Roger and Rene Dery. His funeral with Military Honors will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by Services at 11 a.m. in the Darlington Congregational Church, 685 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. VISITATION will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m.
