PAWTUCKET - Leo E. Denelle, 97, of Hyannis, MA. And formerly of Pawtucket, entered into eternal life on July 21, 2014. He was the husband of Florence (Elkas) Denelle and was the former husband of the late Rita (Gaboriault) Denelle who passed away in 1988. He was born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Delphis and Marie (Kirowac) Denelle and lived most of his life in Pawtucket until moving to Hyannis several years ago. He had been employed as a Store Manager at First National Stores for 45 years before retiring. While living in Pawtucket he was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church. Leo was a WWII Army veteran. He loved traveling and playing cards.
Besides his wife he leaves 3 sons, Leo and his wife Maryann of Woonsocket, Robert and his wife Donna of So. Attleboro and Douglas Denelle of Pawtucket. He also leaves a Step-Son, Douglas and his wife Darlene Elkas of Johnston. He also leaves a sister Lucy Gregory of Barrington, 5 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Henry and Rene Denelle, Elizabeth Lacroix and Rose George.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Cecilia's Church, of the St John Paul II parish, corner of Central and Newport Avenues in Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Memorial donations to Wounded Warriors of R.I. Food Bank, would be appreciated.
