Leo D. Hervieux

LINCOLN - Leo D. Hervieux, 87, passed away Monday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of Jeanne (Lefebvre) Hervieux, and they had been married for 62 years.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Victor and Amanda (Messier) Hervieux. He resided in Lincoln since 1968, previously residing in Central Falls.
Mr. Hervieux was a United States Army Air Corps, World War II veteran, serving in Japan.
Leo was employed by the Lawson Hemphill Company for 29 years until his retirement.
He was a communicant of the St. Jude Church, Lincoln. He was an avid swimmer.
Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Dennis Hervieux of South Attleboro, Daniel Hervieux of Pawtucket, Philip Hervieux of North Providence, Russell Hervieux of Lincoln and Louise Harrison of Lincoln; twelve grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren and one step great-great granddaughter. He also leaves his brother, Alexander Hervieux of Myrtle Beach, SC and his sister Jeannette Wilkenson of Woonsocket. He was the brother of the late James Hervieux, David Hervieux, Armand Hervieux, Henry Hervieux, Joseph Hervieux, Alfred Hervieux, Bertha Landry and Celia Gaumond.
A celebration of his life will be held Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in St. Jude Church, Front Street, Lincoln. Burial with Military Honors at Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held Thursday from 10-11 AM at J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 or to the Mended Hearts Inc., Chapter 185, 190 Budlong Road, Cranston, RI 02920.
