Krawetz quits police department

LINCOLN — A Lincoln police officer who was found guilty in January of felony battery with a dangerous weapon for kicking a handcuffed woman in the head outside a slot parlor in 2009, has resigned, Lincoln Town Administrator Joseph Almond announced Wednesday.
“Effective Aug. 10, 2012, the Town of Lincoln has accepted an unconditional and irrevocable resignation from Officer Edward Krawetz,” Almond said. “This action has allowed the town to avoid the inherent uncertainty of costly and time-consuming litigation and appeals which would inevitably ensue if this matter remained unresolved.”

Any policeman who receives a 10 year suspended sentence should not be allowed to "enforce" the law again.
Kicking a handcuffed woman in the head, he should have gotten "time to serve"
