Kathleen Anne Zant
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Kathleen Anne (Garabedian) Zant, 67, of Belvidere Boulevard, died peacefully Monday at Summit Commons. She was the beloved wife of James W. Zant. They were married for forty-four years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Courser) Garabedian-Svibergson.
Kathleen was an invaluable asset to the daily operation and success at her family's drugstore, Chapel Pharmacy, in Cumberland, for many years, where she was dedicated to serving the community. She was a 1965 graduate of Rhode Island College, where she also earned a Masters Degree in Psychology several years later. Kathleen loved the opera, and was the former secretary of the Providence Opera Group. She was a communicant of Saint Augustine Church.
Her love of animals was only surpassed by her love for the Boston Red Sox.
Beside her husband James, she leaves a brother, Edward R. Garabedian, of Greenville.
The funeral will be held Saturday, at 9:00 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. isiting hours Friday 4 - 8 pm.
