Judge Ernest J. Pratt
FLORIDA - Judge Ernest J. Pratt, 82, passed away on December 14, 2010 at Port St. Lucie Medical Center. He was born in Central Falls, R.I. and lived in Fort Pierce, FL for 7 years, coming from Cumberland, R.I. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an avid golfer and softball player.
Prior to retirement, he was an attorney with the Rhode Island law firm, Blais, Cunningham, Crowe, Chester. He was also a municipal court judge in the City of Central Falls.
Mr. Pratt graduated from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas and Boston University School of Law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Joseph Pratt, and his sister, Mildred Gray.
Survivors include his two daughters, Carol Pratt of Providence, R.I, and Carolyn Pratt of Cumberland, R.I., as well as companion of many years, Bernadette A. Francis of Fort Pierce, FL.
Services will be private.
