PAWTUCKET - Josephine (Gonzalez) Craveiro, 87, formerly of Chestnut Street, Pawtucket, passed away Monday in the Hallworth House Rehabilitation Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Manuel R. Craveiro.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Rodriguez) Gonzalez. She resided in Johnston for the past 10 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.
Mrs. Craveiro was employed as Embroiderer for the former Health Tex Inc. for many years, and later was a CNA for The Mansion Nursing Home, Central Falls.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland. She loved to crochet, sewing, and to help family members.
She leaves one son, Douglas R. Craveiro of Cumberland; two daughters, Cynthia Taylor of Pawtucket and Deborah McHale of Johnston; two sisters, Esmeralda Sousa of Cumberland and Hilda Wahl of Pawtucket; four grandchildren, and one great-grandson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday at 10 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to GROUP.
