Joseph F. Rentes Jr.

PAWTUCKET - Joseph F. Rentes Jr., 68, passed away Friday at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Florence (Ferri) Rentes and the late Joseph F. Rentes Sr. He resided in Pawtucket for many years.
He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the intelligence field from 1965-1970.
Mr. Rentes was the RI State Commander for AMVETS since 2011 and was previously a retired teacher for the William M. Davies Jr. Career & Technical High School for over 25 years. He also was the owner and operator of Valley Electronics of Central Falls for 14 years.
Besides his mother, he leaves two daughters, Judith Labonte and her husband Scott of Cumberland and Major Joanna Rentes, U.S.A.F., Albuquerque, NM; one sister Linda Champeau of Pawtucket. He also leaves his longtime companion Susan Bryant.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday with Visiting Hours from 5 to 8 PM. A prayer service will be held at 7 PM. Burial will be private.
