John T. Barry
LINCOLN- John T. Barry, 77, of Williams Street, Lincoln passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. He was born in Pawtucket, the son of James and Alice (Knowles) Barry, Sr.
Mr. Barry grew up in Pawtucket, graduating from St. Edwards School and Pawtucket West High School. He was a lifelong Communicant at St. Edward's Church and a volunteer at LaSalette Shrine.
John served his country with the US Air Force in occupied Japan during the Korean Conflict before working as a compositor at the Attleboro Sun Chronicle and the Providence Journal before finishing his career at Stop & Shop.
Mr. Barry is survived by a sister, Mary Anne Pearson, eleven nieces and nephews and twenty nine grand nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his two brothers, Joseph and James J. Barry, Jr.
The funeral for Mr. Barry will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward's Church, 58 Hancock Street, Pawtucket at 10:00AM. His burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. The calling hours for Mr. Barry will be Friday, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
