John H. Lawrence
PAWTUCKET - John H. Lawrence, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Agnes R. (Rock) Lawrence.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Harvey and Agnes (O'Hare) Lawrence. John was an aviation mechanic in the United States Navy for 20 years until retiring. He enjoyed painting and drawing; gardening and working on his computer. Above all else, John was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He leaves six children, William J. Lawrence of Houston, TX, A. Karline Wild of Cumberland, Catherine M. Smith of Lincoln, Maureen A. Lawrence of Pawtucket, Eileen F. Desrosiers of Feeding Hills, MA and Donna J. DeRoy of Providence; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. John was the grandfather of the late Aimee Lynne Desrosiers.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 193 Walcott St., Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. VISITATION will be Friday 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 will be appreciated.
