Pawtucket John F. "Jack" McConnell, 75, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Margaret C. (Gardner) McConnell for 53 years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late John F. and Mary (Generous) McConnell. He was employed by the former Gormans Bakery, Central Falls for 30 years before retiring in 1984. Jack was an avid golfer; a lifelong Red Sox fan, and always enjoyed a good debate. He also loved fishing with his grandson Jeffrey. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Leslie McConnell of Pawtucket; two sons, Jack F. McConnell of Jackson, Wyoming and Ed McConnell and his wife Lori of Cranston; a sister, Dolores "Babs" Sweeney of South Attleboro and two grandchildren, Jeffrey Kane and Lilly McConnell. He was the brother of the late William McConnell, Helen Dougherty and James McConnell. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Leo the Great, 697 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Mt.
