John E. Pyne
LINCOLN- Pyne, John E., 68, of Lincoln, passed away on April 16, 2012, he was a loving, dedicated husband to the recently departed Carol (Dunaway) Pyne and father to William Pyne and Lori Latham.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Thomas R. and Constance (Nadeau) Pyne.
John had a full life. After serving in the Navy and graduating from Providence College as well as receiving his masters from Rhode Island College, he became a teacher in the West Warwick School Dept. teaching at John F. Deering Jr. High School. John turned a love for children into more than three decades of teaching, affecting thousands of teenage lives.
He spent his last few years enjoying his granddaughter Neala and playing golf with his cousin, best friend and golf partner George Viau. To his family and friends, he will always be known for his sense of humor. His spirit will live on as the "King of the 4th of July"
Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave Cranston, R.I.
Calling Hours Friday 4:00-7:00 P.M. Cremation to follow services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Pawtucket Boys and Girls Club, One Moeller Pl., Pawtucket, RI 02860. Please visit
