J. Paul Madden
PAWTUCKET - J. Paul Madden, 84, of Marbury Ave., Pawtucket died Friday at Memorial Hospital of RI. He was the husband of the late Theresa L. (Collins) Madden.
Born in MA, he was a son of the late James J. and Gertrude (McHugh) Madden and stepson of the late Mary Esther Madden. He had lived in Pawtucket for over 70 years.
He was a WWII Navy veteran serving in the American Theatre. He was a Manager of many local Department store chains over the years predominantly working for Zayre's.
He is survived by one daughter, Michelle A. and her husband Klaus-Dieter Naumann of West Warwick, two sons, Barry J. Madden and Matthew P. Madden both of Pawtucket, one sister Patricia A. Rosenholm of Portsmouth and one grandson Shane. He was predeceased by a brother John M. Madden and a sister Mary Celeste Williams.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM in the CHEETHAM MORTUARY, INC., 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Mary Church, 103 Pine Street, Pawtucket. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 5-8 PM.
