SEEKONK - Hilda (Craveiro) Levesque, 84 of Taunton Avenue died Friday, July 15, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late Herbert K. Levesque.
She was born in
Providence a daughter of the late Manuel D. and Maria R. (Mello) Craveiro. She was a lifelong Seekonk resident.
Mrs. Levesque worked for the Balfour Jewelry Company before retiring in 1988. She was a lifetime member for 52 continuous years and also a past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 311 where she also held most offices. She was also a member and past President of the Massachusetts American Legion Auxiliary District 9. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW and the 8/40 Salon # 139 for 48 continuous years. Mrs. Levesque was an avid baker of birthday cakes and enjoyed having celebrations for her family at her home because she loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She loved to travel with her late husband Herby.
She leaves two sons, Ronald K. Levesque of Seekonk and Richard A. Levesque of Attleboro; one brother, John D. Craveiro of Seekonk; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary Diogenes, Frank D, Manuel D, Joseph D and Anthony D Craveiro.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hoursTuesday 4-8.
