Henry J. Dash
PAWTUCKET- Henry J. Dash, 86, of Pawtucket, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012. He was the husband of June (Cartier) Dash.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late James and Rose (Ferat) Dash. Mr. Dash was a World War II army veteran.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he worked in shipping and receiving at Union Wadding in Pawtucket for twenty one years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Fierlit-Korzen American Legion Post #79. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and loved working in his yard.
Beside his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Linda Lee Dash, Jane Dash, and Elizabeth Terrien, a sister, Ida Gani, a niece and several nephews. He was the brother of the late Stanley Dash and Mae Demir.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 9AM from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Saint Joseph Church, Walcott Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging, 1 Elmwood Avenue, Kansas City, KS, 66103, would be appreciated.
