Henry A. Bourgette

ATTLEBORO - Henry A. Bourgette, 89, of Adamsdale Ave, passed away on November 4, 2013 in the Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pawtucket, RI on Oct. 4, 1924, he was a son of the late Oscar and Elizabeth Bourgette.
Henry was raised and educated in Central Falls, RI and South Attleboro. He entered the United States Navy and was a WWII Veteran who participated in the D-Day landing at Normandy.
He was employed at the former Koury Steel Company, Pawtucket where he was an ironworker for thirty years. He then worked for the City of Attleboro Parks Department as a groundskeeper for ten years until his retirement.
Henry was a life member of the American Legion and he enjoyed collecting old lunch boxes, beer cans and baseball cards.
He is survived by six children, Barbara C. Bridgeford of CA, Linda L. and her husband Dennis Dufault of So. Attleboro, Henry W. Bourgette and his wife Eva of Attleboro, Debra L. dosSantos and her husband Paul Fernandes of Attleboro, Gary E. Bourgette and his wife Danielle of Mapleville, RI, Troy W. Bourgette Sr. and his wife Kristen of South Attleboro; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
He is the father of the late Mark L. Bourgette and Wayne E. Bourgette and brother of the late Oscar Bourgette.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro.
A private funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held in Newell Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations in Henry's name may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
