Harry J. Gaumond
CUMBERLAND - Harry J. Gaumond, 92, of Philip Avenue, Cumberland passed away Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Blanche H. (Cribari) Gaumond.
Born in Shrewsbury, MA, he was the son of the late John and Eva (Wentworth) Gaumond.
Mr. Gaumond was employed as a truck driver, and was a member of the Teamsters Local 653.
He was a World War II, United States Army Air Corps veteran, serving our country from 1942 to 1946.
He leaves two daughters, Donna Scotto, and her husband Jerry, of North Smithfield and Debra Fernandes of Smithfield; two sons, Harry J. Gaumond Jr. of Woonsocket and Raymond P. Gaumond, and his wife Cindy of Attleboro, MA; one brother, John Gaumond of North Attleboro and one sister Marie Gelinas of Pawtucket. He also leaves five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Aidan Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, from 4 to 8 PM.
