H. Reynold Ward
CENTRAL FALLS- H. Reynold "Lefty" Ward, 99, of 1485 High Street died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Grandview Center, Cumberland.
Born in Cumberland, a son of the late Hugh S. and Maude (Pollitt) Ward, he had lived in Pawtucket for most of his life before moving to Central Falls 20 years ago.
Mr. Ward was an expeditor for Potter & Johnson and Madison Industries for many years before retiring. He was an MP in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a member of Christ Church, Lincoln and Jenks Lodge #24, F. & A.M., Pawtucket. He was an avid golfer and a greenskeeper at Stone-E-Lea Golf Course in Attleboro, MA. He was also a bowler, a softball player and loved to dance. He also sang at many weddings.
He is survived by his caregiver, David Ward of Pawtucket; one brother, Alvin Ward of St. Albans, VT; and his nieces and nephew, Karen Aldrich of Woonsocket, Linda Castle of New York, Lori Derry of St. Albans, VT and John Ward of Tennessee. He was the brother of the late Malcolm and Samuel Ward.
Relatives and friends may call at BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14 from 10-11 A.M. followed by his funeral service at 11 A.M. His burial will be private.
