PAWTUCKET - Amaral, Gilberta "Betty", age 81, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully Friday, May 10, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was the wife of the late Antonio F. Amaral. Born March 15, 1932 in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Horacio and Gloria (Almeida) Andre.
Mrs. Amaral was a communicant of St. Maria Goretti Church. She worked for many years at A.T. Cross before retiring in 1994.
She leaves her daughter and son-in-law Diane Amaral Costa and John Costa of Cranston and her beloved grandson Cristian Costa. She was the sister of the late Zulmira Patricio.
Her funeral will begin on Tuesday at 10AM from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM in St. Maria Goretti Church, 165 Power Road, Pawtucket. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Tuesday morning 9-10AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman Ave., Ste 306, Providence, RI 02906.
