Gertraud "Traudie" Campbell
LINCOLN - Campbell, Gertraud "Traudie" (Machalett) died September 15, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Center in Providence. Traudie was the wife of James Campbell. She was born September 24, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Walter & Elsa Machalett.
Besides being survived by her husband of 61 years, she is also survived by one daughter, Sharon Landis and two sons, Bruce and David Campbell, four grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. She was a 1st grade teacher for 27 years in the town of Lincoln. She worshiped and served at Woodlawn Baptist Church for over 50 years, being active in the choir. She taught Sunday School for 50 years. Mrs. Campbell's remains were donated to Brown University for medical research.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, September 22nd at 2:30 with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:30 at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 337 Lonsdale Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. Donations can be made in her name to the memorial fund at Woodlawn Baptist Church
