Gerard J. Larivee
PAWTUCKET - Gerard J. Larivee 85 of Pawtucket died at home on Tuesday, Dec. 14. He was the husband for 60 years of Helen (Richard) Larivee. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Albert and Amanda (Hemond) Larivee, he had resided in Pawtucket for several years, He was a communicant of St. Cecilia Church where he had served as an usher and an Eucharistic Minister. He had also been a chairman of the parish Catholic Charity Drive for 24 years.
Prior to retirement in 1990, he had been employed as a draftsman, especially at the former Corning Glass Co. for 24 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; 10 children: Pauline Noury (Paul) of Seekonk, MA, Normand Larivee (Rebecca) of Bloomfield, NM, Rober Larivee, PH.D. (Susan) of Meyersdale, PA, Rita Larivee, PH.D. Sister of Ste. Anne of Lachine Canada, Denise Lanza (Michael) of Albuquerque, NM, Theresa Focht (Anthony) of Levittown, PA, Jeannette Hoag (Charles) of Grentham, NH, George Larivee, of Concord. MA, Irene Mortimer (Timothy) of Attleboro, MA, Michael Larivee (Ashish) of Bedford, MA; also 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 18 at 9:00 AM from the DARLINGTON MORTUARY OF L. HEROUX & SON, 1042 Newport Ave., Pawtucket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Cecilia Church, Central Ave., Pawtucket. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Avenue., Pawtucket.
