George F. Smith
ATTLEBORO - George F. Smith, 80, of Attleboro passed away on March 14, 2014 in Life Care Center of Attleboro. He was the loving husband of Elinor (Dollard) Smith for 50 years.
Born December 30, 1933, in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Hugh and Catherine Smith.
George resided most of his life in the Attleboro area. He was employed at Texnor Apex Co. in Pawtucket for many years before his retirement. He loved line dancing, woodworking and made beautiful doll houses.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by his two children, Colleen Kane of Amston, CT and William Smith of Attleboro; three grandchildren, Kelly Bennett of Attleboro, Melissa Gendreau of Attleboro and Kayla Viveiros of Attleboro; Three great grandchildren, Ariana Bennett, Sophia Viveiros and Julia Viveiros all of Attleboro; his siblings, Eilene LeMoi, Margaret (Peggy) Svendsen, Patricia Smith, James Smith, Jospeh Smith, Gene Smith and Hugh Smith; also many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Betty Lamb and Catherine O'Loughlin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, March 19, from 5-8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro, MA.
A funeral will be conducted on Thursday, March 20, at 9 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, at 10 a.m. in St. John's the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro, MA. Burial will follow St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro.
