George E. Pye
BRADENTON, FL. - George E. Pye, 91, of Bradenton, Fl. died May 15, 2013. Born in Pawtucket, he moved to Bradenton in 1989 from South Attleboro. A Veteran of thQe US Army 26th Yankee Division, 101st Infantry, highly decorated including a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, the American Legion, ELKS Lodge, numerous golf leagues, and he was the owner of Set-Rite Stone Settings.
Predeceased by his parents Lawrence (Annie Wass) Pye; brothers, Henry and Lawrence, Jr., sister Mildred Giadamo. Survived by wife of 65 years, Theresa (Campbell) of Bradenton, FL, daughters, Maureen (Arthur) Stenberg of Valrico, FL and Nancy (Robert) Gaumond of North Attleboro; sister, Francis Brown of Appleton, WI; grandsons, Scott, Kenneth, and Glenn Gaumond and Arthur IV and Geoff Stenberg; great grandsons Jarred, Keith and Ryan Gaumond.
Memorial Mass was held on Friday May 24th.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the Diabetes Association.
