Frederick T. Willett
LANCASTER, KY - Frederick Thompson Willett, 100, passed away Monday July 1, 2013. Mr. Willett was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on June 21, 1913 to the late Lazarus and Flora Wood Willett and was the husband of 74 years to Mildred Axon Willett.
Mr. Willett served in the United States Army as a radio operator in the signal corps and worked as an electronics technician for the Navy at Quonset Point Naval Air Station. He was an avid Ham radio operator and loved, for many years, to walk in Slater Park in Pawtucket. He was a Mr. Fix-it who could re-build and repair most anything.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Frederick J. (Pamela) Willett of Lancaster, Kentucky, 2 grandchildren Derek Willett of Lexington, Kentucky, Amie Steeves of Richmond, Kentucky, six great-grandchildren, and a sister Dorothy Plante of Pawtucket.
No services are scheduled. Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville, Kentucky is in charge of arrangements.
