PAWTUCKET - Frederick Habershaw, 86, formerly of Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, passed away Wednesday at Berkshire Place, Providence.
Born in Attleboro, MA ,he was the son of the late William and Sarah (Bradley) Habershaw. He resided in Pawtucket for over 20 years, previously residing in South Attleboro, MA.
Mr. Habershaw was employed at one time by the Crown Manufacturing, Darlington Fabrics and Moore Fabrics. He later was a self-employed maintenance worker.
He was a communicant of St. Theresa Church, South Attleboro, MA. Fred was a caring, generous person who loved to travel and socialize. He was a very active person who would walk up to nine miles even into his late 70's.
He leaves his four sons, Frederick S. Habershaw of North Providence, David J. Habershaw of West Warwick, RI, Paul Habershaw of North Attleboro, MA, and Daniel Habershaw of Cranston. He leaves his sister, Joan Mooney and his brothers Larry Habershaw, Frank Habershaw, and Edward Habershaw; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the William Habershaw, Robert Habershaw, Veronica Cassidy and Rita Hutchinson.
A celebration of his life will be held Monday, January 13, 2014 at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Theresa Church, South Attleboro, MA. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Curran Road, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
