Flora L. Snow
PAWTUCKET - Salvation Army Brigadier Flora L. Snow, 96, of West Forest Avenue died Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital of RI, Pawtucket.
Born in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, a daughter of the late Bennett and Mary (Dawe) Snow, she had lived in Pawtucket for 28 years.
Brigadier Snow was a Salvation Army officer in Everett, MA; Keene, NH; Newburyport, MA; Haverhill, MA; Stamford, CT; Pawtucket, RI (where she served for 14 years) and Chelsea, MA before retiring in 1978. Following her retirement, she continued to serve the Salvation Army until her death.
She was an honorary member of the Pawtucket Lions Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy-Jo Collins of Pawtucket; one sister, Hilda Reid of Chelsea, MA; one brother, Rev. Lewis Snow of Ontario, Canada; two grandchildren, Michael Collins and his wife, Krystal of Warwick and Amanda Collins Johnson of Meridian, ID; one great grandson, Chase Jackson of Meridian, ID; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Winifred Reid and Sevie Forward.
Her funeral will be held THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9 at 11 A.M. in BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston, MA.
