Flora B. Therrien
PAWTUCKET - Flora B. (LeClair) Therrien, 98, born February 6, 1913 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, died January 30, 2012 at the St. Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket, R.I., where she resided for twenty years. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Agnes (Cournoyer) LeClair and the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Ernest Therrien.
She is survived by her three children, Sister Agnes Therrien, S.S.Ch., of Cumberland, RI, Diane Therrien Hyde of Peacedale, R.I., Brother Richard Therrien, ofmcap of White Plains, N.Y., her grandson, Joshua Hyde and great grandson, Nathan Hyde of Richmond, R.I. and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her five brothers and three sisters.
A longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Consolation Parish in Pawtucket, R.I., she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, the Third Order of Mary and the Legion of Mary. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Ricardo's Restaurant on Broadway in Pawtucket, R.I. for seventeen years, after which she became one of the chefs at Providence College for five years. Her life was marked by many years of self-giving and generosity during which she was care giver to several family members.
A wake will be held on Friday from 4-8 pm at the St. Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket, R.I. A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated on Saturday at 11:00 am in The Chapel of The St. Jeanne Jugan Residence. Burial will be at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Dodgeville, Massachusetts.
