Five arrested after pistol-whipping incident at party

PAWTUCKET — It was an invitation that four young men could have done without.

Pawtucket Police say five people were arrested Sunday after allegedly pistol-whipping and robbing four men who had been lured to an after-hours party in the basement of a house at 85 Daniels St.

According to Detectives Capt. John Seebeck, the victims told police they had met a female at a Seven-Eleven store in Providence early Sunday morning and had been told about the party on Daniels Street. The four went to the party, and at some point in the early morning hours, they told police they were pistol-whipped and robbed by four men and a woman. Police were called to the scene at around 5:43 a.m.
