CUMBERLAND - Eugenia "Jean" A. (Niedbala) Hucal, 92, of the Chimney Hill Apartments, formerly of Cadoret Drive, Cumberland passed away Wednesday at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Michael Hucal.
Born in Fall River, MA she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Agnes (Kokoszka) Niedbala. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.
Jean was employed by the Hindley Manufacturing Company, Cumberland for many years until her retirement in 1982.
Mrs. Hucal was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church. She was an avid card player and bowler, and also loved to travel. She was a member of the Cumberland Senior Center, and the St. Aidan Seniors. She volunteered for many worthwhile causes. Most of all, she loved to be with and care for her family.
She leaves her two daughters Dorothy Mikucki, and her husband Walter of Champaign, IL and Joan Hucal and her husband Howard Lapidus of New Milford, CT; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held SATURDAY at 8:30 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Curran Road, Cumberland.
