Ethel M. Capineri
Ethel Margaret (Pierce) Capineri, born on September 30, 1928, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Nov. 23, 2013. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Joseph A. Capineri, Esq. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Isa (Hadfield) Pierce of Coventry, RI. She was a registered nurse and a graduate of the Pawtucket Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
She is survived by her son, Associate Justice Stephen Capineri and his wife Nancy of Rumford and her daughter Lisa Zavota and her husband, Gerald of Daytona Beach, Florida. Her grandchildren include; Peter Capineri, Marissa Shallcross and her husband Derrick, Michael Capineri, Kerri Zavota and her husband Euan, and the late Gregory Zavota. She lived a long happy life. She was an avid golfer and long term member of Pawtucket Country Club. She loved time with her family and dinner with friends.
The funeral for Mrs. Capineri will be Saturday, November 30 at 9:00 am from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 am. Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. the calling hours for Mrs. Capineri will be Friday from 4-7 pm in the funeral home. For online condolences please visit
