Esther I. LeBlanc
PAWTUCKET - Esther I. (Gervais) LeBlanc, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Philippe W. LeBlanc. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Romeo J. and Esther J. (Crompton) Gervais. Together Esther and her late husband were the former owners of Phils Restaurant in Central Falls. She was deeply devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in life in giving to her family. She was an avid reader and loved to travel.
Esther leaves five children, Phyllis Kelliher and her husband, Daniel, Michelle Rondeau, Suzanne Barrett and her husband, Donald, Marie LeBlanc and her husband, John Duffin, III and Phillipe LeBlanc and his wife, Dyan and a brother, Robert Gervais. She was the beloved grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 15. She was predeceased by her son Walter Leroy LeBlanc and her twin babies, Raymond and Roland LeBlanc.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted. Memorial gifts in her honor to The Little Sisters of the Poor, 964 Main St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 will be appreciated.
