CUMBERLAND- Ernest A. Tapley, 88, of Cumberland, died Sunday at The Holiday Nursing Home. He was the husband of Ursula (McCann) Tapley.
Born in Millinocket, ME, he was a son of the late William and Gertrude (Madore) Tapley.
Mr. Tapley was employed as a truck driver for A&P Stores and Dexter Farms. He was a member of Teamsters Local #370. Mr. Tapley was a World War II Army veteran.
He is also survived by his sons, Timothy Tapley of Narragansett, Austin Tapley of Attleboro, MA and George Tapley of Smithfield; his daughter Mary-Katherine Dalton of Lincoln; his sister Weevene Matley of Florida; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Weymouth, Robert, Roger, Kenneth and Mary Tapley.
His funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:30 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd., Cumberland.
