Ernest B. Stevenson
PAWTUCKET - Ernest Blake Stevenson 92, of Pawtucket died January 13, 2011. Devoted husband of Evelyn (Hartley) Stevenson for 67 years. Son of the late John and Emma (Piggott) Stevenson.
Besides his wife he is survived by 2 daughters Barbara Stevenson of Lincoln and Jacqueline Stevenson of Pawtucket, loved and devoted friends Daniel Bracewell and Thomas Olbrych. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Pawtucket. Employee of Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Co. for 54 years until his retirement. Served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He was a softball pitcher for the Fairlawn Mules team during the year that they won the championship in 1938.
A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 am in St. Luke's Episcopal Church 670 Weeden St. Pawtucket. Calling Hours Sunday 2-5 pm in the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home 530 Smithfield Ave. Pawt. In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Stevenson's memory may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church Altar Guild.
