Elaine S. Solan
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Elaine S. Solan, 63, died unexpectedly at home on Monday April 22nd. She was the beloved wife of the late William R. Solan, Sr.
Elaine was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Raoul and Jeanne D. (Marcotte) Beaudoin. She lived most of her life in the Central Falls area until moving to North Providence. Elaine was an inspector at Texas Instruments where she worked for thirty years. She recently was an inspector at Cadence, Inc., Cranston. She was a member of the Women's Auxillary of the Dusza-Almeida Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She leaves a daughter, Darlene Solan of Pawtucket, a son William R. Solan, Jr. of North Providence, a step-daughter Julie Solan of Lincoln, and a step-son Wayne Solan of North Providence; three sisters Jeannine Frizado of Taunton, Lorraine Beaudoin of Cumberland, Madeleine Furtado of Rehoboth, and a brother Roland Beaudoin of Providence; four grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Darlington Mortuary, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket on Friday, April 26 at 9:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Holy Family Parish, 195 Walcott Street at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home on Thursday, April 25 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
