PAWTUCKET - Edward Niedzwiadek, 88, of Owen Avenue, passed away Sunday in the Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Julia (Rogala) Niedzwiadek.
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Koziol) Niedzwiadek. He resided in Pawtucket for the past 35 years, previously residing in Cumberland.
Mr. Niedzwiadek was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during World War II.
He was employed as a Machine Operator for the Texas Instruments Inc., for 20 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a communicant of St. Maria Goretti Church. He was an avid golfer, and loved crossword puzzles.
He leaves three sons, Thomas Niedzwiadek of Greenville, Richard Niedzwiadek of Warren, Gary Niedzwiadek and his wife Lisa of Glocester; his daughter-in-law, Janice Niedzwiadek, nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Edward J. Niedzwiadek and Donald R. Niedzwiadek, and brother of the late Genevieve Niedzwiadek.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the St. Maria Goretti Church, Power Road, Pawtucket. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggatt Avenue, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Thursday from 5-8 PM.
