Edward A. McDonald
PAWTUCKET - Edward A. McDonald, 78, of Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011. He was the husband of the late Agnes (Adam) McDonald. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edna (Johnson) McDonald. Mr McDonald was a lifelong resident of the city. He graduated from the East High School (Tolman) in 1952, where he was Swim Boy of the Year. He was a maintenance man for the former Haskell Co. of Pawtucket and later for the former Holiday of Attleboro, MA for several years before retiring. He was an air force veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by four children, Heather Betters, Margaret Smith, Linda Lourenco, and Hugh Shaw, two brothers, Joseph McDonald and John Scanlon, one sister, Carol Vandale, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours 11 am to 12:30 pm Monday in the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be private. For online condolences, www.rifuneral.com
