Edward M. McCormick
CUMBERLAND - Edward M. McCormick, of Cumberland died Saturday, April 30, 2011. He was the husband of Anna P. (Iachetti) McCormick.
Mr. McCormick was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Michael and Marion (Bardsley) McCormick. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII where he served in a tank division during the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. McCormick was a painting contractor for many years before he retired.
He loved to golf and was an avid traveler.
Besides his wife, Mr. McCormick is survived by his sisters, Noreen P. Unwin of Pawtucket and Elsie Bradbury of Colorado and his brother Michael D. McCormick of Colorado. He also leaves his nieces Joanne Saldua of Pawtucket and Larae Bradbury in Colorado and a nephew Samuel Bradbury in Colorado.
The funeral for Mr. McCormick will be Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 9:30 a.m. His burial will be with full Military Honors in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
